2014 Chevy Impala Under Investigation For Emergency Brake Activation

The 2014 Chevrolet Impala is under federal investigation after a driver reported issues with the emergency braking system.

The driver says the system activated several times without any sort of warning.

In one instance, the vehicle was traveling at 40 miles per hour with no one in front of it when the brakes activated.

The car was struck in the rear by another vehicle.

More than 60,000 Impalas from the 2014 model year are on US roads.

The investigation is not linked to GM’s recent recall of 2.6 million older model Chevrolets and other cars for defective ignition switches.
