Students Celebrate Earth Day with Clare Pride Day

Students at one school spent the day beautifying their city as part of their annual Earth Day celebration.

The event is called Clare Pride Day and involves more than 450 Clare High School students every year.

Students did everything from wash windows at the fire and police departments to spread mulch at the post office on Tuesday.

The outreach efforts are a way for students to give back and take care of their community.

Earth Day was started in 1970 in the United States as a way to increase public awareness of environmental issues.
