Veteran Students Are Transitioning Back To School

A record number of military veterans are heading back to class after serving our country.

More than one million veterans and their families have enrolled in the last few years, many with the help of the GI Bill.

And tens of thousands of new veterans are expected to enroll as the military downsizes after wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and as the Pentagon budget is pared back.

These levels have not been seen since the Vietnam War.

Many universities are working on programs to help vets make the transition from military life to a college campus.
