Wexford Co. Man Accused Of Cadillac Home Invasion

Cadillac police say they arrested a man for breaking into a home and screaming with a strange weapon.

It happened around 8:20 Monday night on the 300 block of Crippen Street in Cadillac.

Police say a woman was home alone when Shelton Holtzclaw came in with a large piece of wood with a nail sticking out of it, which came from the door frame he broke.

An officer was able to control the suspect at gunpoint until help arrived.

Holtzclaw was arrested and no one was hurt. He was taken to the Wexford County Jail.

The victim did not know the suspect.

Holtzclaw is charged with home invasion.
