Michigan Mental Health Programs Will See Big Budget Cut

Community mental health programs will see a big budget cut Tuesday.

Programs around the state are seeing a 54% cut in their state general fund.

That state funding is the only resource for uninsured people who need care.

Community Mental Health in Traverse City says they're hoping most of the clients affected will qualify for the Affordable Care Act program, or the Healthy Michigan program.

They're sending letters out to their clients who will be impacted by the reduction.
