Gov. Snyder Signs Bills To Give Tax Break To Businesses
Governor Rick Snyder put his signature on a series of bills, including a tax break to help small businesses.
The law could permanently remove personal property taxes for small businesses and manufacturers.
It applies to businesses with less than $80,000 in personal property.
Until now, most businesses were paying tax when they purchased items for their business, and again to the state on their yearly taxes.
The changes still require voter approval, it will be on the August ballot.
Governor Snyder is heading to Europe this weekend. It's his second trade mission there, with a focus on the auto industry.
