BARC Recycling Expo Aims to Help TC Shrink Carbon Footprint

Today, a Traverse City based company is hoping to increase their economic output, by spreading the word about reducing our carbon footprint.

Bay Area Recycling for Charities helps clients operate without creating waste.

Today's expo was all about getting more area businesses to adopt their ideal of “Waste Not, Give A Lot.”

they offer products and services ranging from basic recycling to compost, to bio diesel, to electronic waste management.

One message BARC hopes to spread is that going waste free is becoming more appealing to the budget conscious.

Owner Andy Gale tells us prices are much more competitive, and he envisions a time in the near future where compostable products are actually more affordable than disposable ones.
