Though it barely feels like winter is ending, it's almost time for anglers to remove those ice shanties.
The DNR reminds everyone that ice shanties must be removed from waters in the northern lower peninsula by midnight this Saturday.
Those in the UP have until midnight March 31st.
Shanties can be used and removed on a daily basis after the deadline.
