Annual Seedling Sale

Today the Grand Traverse Conservation District hosted an open house at the Boardman River Nature Center in Traverse City to showcase the native seedling species offered during their annual seedling sale.  The G.T.C.D. has been hosting the event since the “Dust Bowl” era in the 1940's.  It started as means to help farmers, but has grown to benefit anyone looking to restore their landscape.  Participating in the seedling sale helps financially support critical agricultural education and conservation efforts.  If you were unable to attend the event, they will be taking orders through March 28th.  You can go to to learn more or order online.
