Students Learn About Career Options At Clare-Gladwin CTC Career Day
It's never too early to begin planning for the future.
Wednesday hundreds of 8th graders got a chance to see what may be waiting for them after graduation.
It was Career Day at the Clare Gladwin Career Tech Center at Mid-Michigan Community College in Harrison.
Representatives from several different industries were there to help students figure out their aspirations for the future.
The hope is that kids will better understand what is needed for each career and begin working on those skills.
Then, when they are old enough they can take classes at the Career Tech Center.
“We have students that come in here that have no idea what they want to do and some of them leave here knowing they have a path that they want to follow for an occupation,” explained Janet Roberts of the Tech Center.
5 schools were involved in the Career Day. The program has been running for more than 35 years.
