Local Drug Team Makes Hotel Room Drug Bust

Police say drugs were being bought and sold out of a Grand Traverse hotel room.
A Northern Michigan drug team just arrested three people they say are responsible.

The Traverse Narcotics Team raided the East Bay Township hotel Wednesday night and say they found a lot of evidence in the room.

Two of the people arrested were from the area, a third was from Detroit.
Investigators say they found significant amounts of crack cocaine, heroin and meth valuing more than $8,000.
They say there was evidence there suggesting it was being packed up to sell.
A large amount of cash and drug paraphernalia was also found.
9&10's Marisa McKay spoke to Prosecutor Bob Cooney as well as the Grand Traverse Sheriff's Office to learn more about the cooperation and proactive measures agencies are taking to crack down on drug abuse in the area.
