Gov. Snyder Plans 3% Increase In K-12 Funding
LANSING, Mich. (SP) — Michigan schools could see more money go to education next year.
Governor Rick Snyder is proposing pumping an additional billion dollars into Michigan schools next year. That is 3% increase in school funding.
The governor says his school budget includes a $100 average increase per student.
Districts with lower funding would get $111 and those with higher funding would get $83.
Snyder will present the proposal on Wednesday.
