2013 Seasons Described As One Of The Safest For Hunters

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — 2013 is going into the books as one of the safest hunting seasons for Michigan hunters.

The Department of Natural Resources says one death was reported statewide.  8 other people were injured.  
Numbers are down compared to 2012 where the state received reports of one death and 14 injuries.
According to the report, carelessness was frequently cited as the cause for injuries.
