Manistee Co. Charge Against Sarah Knysz Dropped
A charge against the wife of the man accused of shooting and killing Trooper Paul Butterfield has been dropped.
Police say Sarah Knysz was with her husband Eric when he killed the State Trooper during a traffic stop in Custer in Mason County, September 9, 2013.
They were arrested a short time later in Dublin, in Manistee County.
Sarah faced an unlawful driving away of a vehicle charge in Manistee County.
But, that charge was officially dropped on Monday, which was expected to happen.
In December, a Mason County judge sentenced Sarah to between two and five years in prison for being an accessory to murder.
Sarah is expected to testify in Eric's trial later this year.
