DNR Reports At Least 21 Wolves Killed In Wolf Hunt

MARQUETTE, Mich. (AP) — At least 21 wolves have been taken in the Upper Peninsula.

It is the first wolf hunt in over 40 years.

The Department of Natural Resources does not think the wolf quota of 43 will be reached by the end of the year. The hunt will continue until all 43 wolves are taken.

The DNR estimates that before the hunt, Michigan had 658 wolves.
