Northern Michigan Man Accused Of Poaching 9-Point Buck

The DNR says a Northern Michigan man went deer hunting before firearm season.

He's accused of poaching a nine point buck.
The DNR found the deer hanging without tags in Michael Giganti's backyard on Thomas Road in South Boardman in Kalkaska County.
They say the deer did not have the proper tags, and Giganti didn't have a hunting license.
Originally, he told DNR officers that he killed the buck with a cross bow, but later admitted he used a shotgun.
He's expected in court next week.
