RECALL: Ford Recalls 2013 Escape For Oil, Gas Leaks

DETROIT (AP) — For the 7th time since it went on sale in spring of 2012, Ford is recalling the Escape for two problems.

The recall affects more than 173,000 Escapes worldwide from the 2013 model year with 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engines.

The company aims to fix oil leaks from cracking cylinder heads and fuel line leaks that can cause fires.
Ford says 13 fires were caused by the oil leaks, but there were no injuries.
The recall begins in January, and dealers will fix cooling and control systems, or inspect and replace fuel lines for free.
