Mecosta County Standoff 911 Call Released

One woman died and another three were injured when police say Duncan Willis held them against their will with a shotgun.

The standoff lasted for about ten hours in Rogers Heights Thursday night into Friday morning.

The 911 call was made by a neighbor of Kathleen Hawley.

He had driven Hawley to the home because she thought her daughter was in trouble.

During the call, he says he warned Hawley not to go inside, to slow down until they knew what was going on.

The caller says she raced into the home and was shot by an unknown gunman.

9&10 News' Eric Lloyd and photojournalist Jacob Johnson spoke with the sheriff for more details on the standoff.
