UPDATE: Caldwell Admits To Violating Terms of Probation

Police in Traverse City are providing new details in their case involving Robert Caldwell.

Caldwell is a suspect in the shooting of Monica Anderson.

Police say they found her body and Caldwell holding a gun Tuesday night at the couple's Traverse City apartment.

Caldwell was interviewed for six hours on Friday in the Leelanau County Jail.
He's held there on an unrelated probation violation charge.

Monday, Caldwell pleaded guilty to violating the terms of his probation stemming from the impaired driving conviction in September.
Judge Thomas Phillips says Caldwell clearly didn't take his probation seriously since he violated it on September 23 and went on probation September 12. He sentenced Caldwell to 93 days in jail starting immediately with credit for the time he has already served.
No charges have been filed by the prosecutor yet against Caldwell in the shooting of Monica Anderson.
Police say Caldwell insists he accidentally killed Anderson while attempting to take his own life.
Police also say the Model 1911 pistol that killed Monica Anderson, was registered to her.
They also say Caldwell had been drinking.
Grand Traverse County Prosecutor Bob Cooney is still reviewing the police report – and no charges have been filed in the case.
