Michigan Police Sergeants Accused of Armed Robbery

Two Michigan police sergeants, one a 20-year veteran of the Detroit Police Department and the other a 17-year veteran of the St. Clair Shores Police Department, are expected to face robbery charges.

Investigators say the pair were wearing plain clothes when they approached two men at a gas station, flashed their department issued badges. Before walking away with cash and a cell phone they took from the victims, one victim was assaulted with a handgun.

Detroit's Police Chief says the allegations appear to be an isolated event.
