Wreath-laying Ceremony At President Gerald Ford’s Tomb

President Gerald Ford was born exactly 100 years to the day.

Many people attended a ceremony in Grand Rapids today to honor his legacy.

A presidential wreath-laying ceremony took place this afternoon at Ford's tomb.

Our nation's 38th President was sworn in August 9th of 1974.

He was born in Omaha Nebraska but grew up in Grand Rapids.

Ford pardoned Richard Nixon after the Watergate Scandal, a controversial decision.

A model of the USS Gerald R. Ford was unveiled today and will sit in the lobby of his Presidential Museum.

Ford died in December of 2006.
