Feedback at 5:00: Beach Pollution

A new
report by the state of Michigan says beach goers
in the Great Lakes State lost 755 days of
water access last year because of pollution.

That's
down about 17% from 2011, and half what it was 5 years
ago.

A common
cause for beach closings is the presence of human or animal
waste.

About 1 in 4 beaches monitored by the state last year did show signs of
pollution.

All
together, 166 beaches were closed for a total of 755 days in
2012.

For tonight's Feedback at 5:00, we are wondering if pollution has ever changed your mind about going to the beach.
