Components to Make Meth Found in Mason County Dumpster

The Mason County Sheriff's Department was called to a possible meth lab in an alley on West U.S. 10.

A black bag containing items commonly used to make meth were found inside a dumpster behind a strip mall in Pere Marquette Township on Sunday.

According to the sheriffs department, someone was looking for cardboard in the dumpster when they saw the bag. They pulled out the bag and noticed chemicals, then called police.

The state police meth team from Grand Rapids properly disposed the items.

There are no leads on the case.
