Rolling Thunder Kick Off Thunder at the River
Dozens of people gathered to escort the Michigan Vietnam Veteran Memorial Wall and other memorials today for the fourth annual Thunder at the River event.
The walls were taken through Manistee from the VFW post to the Little River Casino Friday afternoon. Motorcycles, cars, police and fire departments helped escort the memorials.
Thunder at the River is designed to help educate the public about veterans and get them involved in making a difference in the lives of veterans.
The Rolling Thunder also uses the event to raise money for various Michigan veteran organizations. They hope to raise $15,000 at the event this year.
Thunder at the River runs through Sunday at the Little River Casino.
