Two Traverse City Men to Bike Cross Country, Build Houses

Two northern Michigan men hopped on their bikes today.

It's the beginning of a long journey to raise money and change lives.

They were stationed on their stationary bikes outside Moomer's in Traverse City, raising funds that will help them and others as they bike across the country.

Ben Coughenour and Alex Goldsmith, both of Traverse City, are riding to raise money for the Fuller Center Bike Adventure.

Starting on June 8th, they will ride from Savannah, Georgia to Vancouver, British Columbia, and they will build houses along the way.

They say they had always planned to do something like this, and decided this summer they would embark on the cross-country journey.
