Feedback at 5:00: 3-D Printing

Earlier this year, 3-D printing made headlines when President Obama spotlighted the technology during his State of the Union Address.

He called it a way to potentially revolutionize the manufacturing industry.

It was also recently used at the University of Michigan to build a life changing device for a little boy with tracheal problems.

It's a technology that is evolving rapidly. You can print everything from custom jewelry to replacing parts for your appliances.

But in recent weeks, the technology has produced firearms using 3D printing and successfully fired them.

What do you think of the new way to get products on demand? What kind of products do you think should be made? It's tonight's “Feedback at 5:00.”
