Feedback at 5:00: Red Light Cameras

Michigan drivers could start seeing red light cameras at area intersections.

The measure introduced by Republican Representative Wayne Schmidt from Traverse City would give local governments the power to put the cameras in place.

Communities would have to put up a sign within 500 feet of the intersection to warn motorists about the camera.

Drivers would not be punished for citations that come from the camera on their driving record, or toward their insurance.

What do you think of the proposal?
