CMU and Michigan Tech Students Pitch New Businesses
Despite the troubling state unemployment rate, it's not keeping optimistic kids down.
Hundreds of students made their pitch to create the next big business today on Central Michigan University's campus.
It was part of the 3rd Annual New Ventures Competition.
Sixty teams of students from both CMU and Michigan Tech spent the last eight months preparing business ideas with the hopes of landing a $30,000 prize if their idea is deemed the best.
Today was a series of pitch and demonstartion competitions in front of a panel of business leaders to find the best.
The entire experience is designed to benefit every team, not just the ones chosen as the most defined right now.
