An Active Body Makes for an Active Mind

When some kids started falling behind in the classroom the Cadillac area YMCA stepped in to help kids make the grade.

The YMCA is known for keeping kids active but now they're bringing some of those activities into the classroom to spur learning during an after school tutoring program.

They've teamed up with Lincoln Elementary School in Cadillac to bring the program to struggling students.

It includes a healthy snack after school, 20 minutes of vigorous play and finally 45 minutes of tutoring.

9&10's Jessica Dupnack and photojournalist Anthony Zyber went to Lincoln Elementary School today and have more on the program.
