Superstorm Sandy Clean Up Demands Felt in Isabella County

The clean up continues along the east coast from the destruction of Superstorm Sandy.
The work has created a ripple effect felt here in Northern Michigan.

The demand for wood chippers to clean up the tree destruction left behind has sent Bandit Industries outside of Mt. Pleasant into over drive to keep up.

The Isabella County company tries to keep a stock of extra chippers to cover demand.
The orders from the east coast have cleaned those reserves out and now the company is working as fast as it can to keep up, building about 50 machines a week.

Bandit expects the rush to continue until June of next year.
They say a storm has never created the urban tree damage like Sandy has.
