21 year Old Student Forges His Way into Mt Pleasant HS

A local student is expelled after school officials find out he is actually 21 years old, not the 18 he claimed to be.

The 21-year-old claimed he was transferring from another school to Mt. Pleasant High School just after Labor Day.

He used forged signatures and doctored birth certificates and transcripts to swindle the school district.
It is unknown why he chose to go back to high school but the school says the documents looked legitimate until examined much closer.
The student also played for the high school football team for 5 games this season games they'll likely have to forfeit now.

9&10's Eric Lloyd and photojournalist Jacob Johnson spoke with the school on the fraud and have more details.
