State Farm and Michigan Sheriffs Team For Safe Teen Driving Campaign

Firefighters had to use the jaws of life at the Grand Traverse Mall this afternoon – but it wasn't a real accident.

State Farm insurance company and Michigan Sheriff's partnered together, to give the community a look at safe driving.

The event is focused on teen drivers, who have less experience on the road.

There was a variety of simulators – for driver's training, driving on ice, and beer goggles, to show teens the dangers of drunk driving.

Organizers say they think presenting teen driving in a positive light has a better chance of getting them to drive safely.
