Traverse City Police Arrest Man Accused of Assault and Disorderly Conduct

Traverse City man got out of control at a restaurant and ended up in jail last night.

Traverse City Police responded to Mode's Bum Steer where they found a highly intoxicated man.

Police told the man to leave Mode's in which he complied. Few moments later, Police were called to a complaint at 120 South Union Street where they found the same drunk man behind the counter.

A female employer told Police that the 45-year-old subject hit a female employee.

Police had to restrain him and he got cut on his eye so paramedics took him to the hospital.

One of the arresting officers was also treated for exposure after getting the suspects blood in his eye.

The suspect is now lodged in the Grand Traverse County Jail accused of assault and battery and disorderly conduct.
