Sheriff Stays Connected With New Mobile App
A local Sheriff's department wants to be as connected and accessible as possible.
The Clare County Sheriff's Office in Harrison is the first department in Michigan with a specialized mobile app for cell phones.
The app allows the Sheriff to send notices to the public, post crimes committed in the county and then gives the people a voice directly to the Sheriff himself.
You can report a crime or check the sex offender's list, all in an effort by the Sheriff to keep up with a more mobile world.
The project did not cost the taxpayers a dime.
It was all paid for through drug forfeiture money.
