Police Exhume Body in 23-Year-Old Cold Case
Police in Newaygo exhumed the body of Shannon Siders Thursday morning looking for new clues into her murder.
Shannon was only 18-years-old when she disappeared in Newaygo in July of 1989. Her body was found in the woods by a hunter three months later. An autopsy revealed Shannon had been brutally beaten to death.
After 23 years of investigating and new forensic advancements, Police believe exhuming her body will give them the final clue to her killer.
