Detroit Brothers Getting New Trial After 25 Years in Prison for Murder Case
This morning a Wayne County judge said two brothers will get a new trial for 1987 murder case.
Two brothers from Detroit could be set free after spending 25 years in jail.
Thomas and Raymond Highers were convicted of first degree murder in June 1987 for the death of 65-year-old Robert Karey.
The case was reopened after a witness came forward saying Karey's killers were black, but the Highers brothers are white.
