Coast Guard Saves Boaters in Storm Last Night

Coast Guard rushed out into the storm last night to save several stranded boaters.

The rescue happened around 8:30 last night after the boat ran aground in Thunder Bay, near Alpena.

They were taking on water after running out of gas on a fishing trip.

Three of the four people were airlifted off the boat after midnight.

The vessel's owner decided to stay on board.

The Coast Guard is still keeping watch on the situation and says he is making plans for his family to help him today.
