Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Sees Big Tourism Boost In Wake of National Attention

Fran Tomlinson traveled all the way from Washington D.C. to take in the most beautiful place in America. Friends told her the Lakeshore is a must see. License plates from all over the country can be seen in the parking lot of the Visitor's Center.

The word's out on the Lakeshore, and traffic continues to spike. Year to date, they have seen nearly 60% more visitors than last year, an astounding increase.

It isn't just the dune climb, or the lakes drawing in all of these people. Somewhere nestled in these 71,000 acres is something for everyone.
