Isabella County Loses 911 Service for 8 Hours

This morning, Isabella County was vulnerable to disaster as last night's storm knocked out 911 service for nearly 8 hours.

Both 911 and non-emergency central dispatch went offline at 2:30 this morning after a storm rolled through Mt. Pleasant.

The service was reconnected around 10:30 this morning.

Engineers say power went out at the central office for Frontier Communications and when the back up generator failed, phone service was knocked out all around the county.

9&10's Eric Lloyd was in Mt. Pleasant today and has returned with more details.
