More than half a million people are expected to visit the National Cherry Festival this week.
Crowds that size fill up local hotels and over run restaurants downtown.
This year the festival is later than normal, giving businesses the opportunity to soak up 4th of July crowds and festival goers separately
Traverse City will be busy in the summer no matter what but Cherry Festival week is an entirely different type of week.
