You Saw It: Rowing Around Lake Michigan for Good Cause

A Michigan woman just began a long and challenging journey to bring awareness to breast cancer.

Jenn Gibbons, from Battle Creek, will row the entire 1,500 mile perimeter of Lake Michigan in a one woman row-boat.

She will raise money and bring about awareness of the role that exercise plays in the fight against breast cancer.

Research shows exercise reduces cancer recurrence in breast cancer survivors by 50%, and women who have no history of the disease can reduce their risk with exercise by 30%.

Gibbons started rowing today and will go about 30 miles a day, stopping only to sleep.
