Man Accused of Leading Police on High Speed Chase Didn’t Show Up for Court
Charges are piling up against a downstate man accused of leading police on a high speed chase through Manistee and Benzie counties last month.
Police say Joseph Barnum didn't show up for court this week.
A few weeks ago he refused to give himself up to deputies during a 3-hour long chase.
Police downstate found him at home in the Grand Rapids area but when they tried to arrest him, he ran again.
He was eventually chased down, tased and arrested.
Barnum now faces charges for both attempts to run.
