Mackinac County Man to Spend 18 Months in Prison for Marijuana Charges

A Mackinac County man will spend 18 months in a federal prison for conspiring to grow marijuana.

The investigation into Timothy Russell Nelson spanned from 2004 to 2007. In all, investigators found more than 400 marijuana plants in various locations in Mackinac County.

In January, Nelson pleaded guilty to the charges against him.
