Action-Packed Lumberjacking Comes Alive in Mackinaw City

From axe-throwing to log-rolling to tree-climbing, a summer of action-packed lumberjacking just kicked off over in Mackinaw City.

The Jack Pine Lumberjack Shows celebrate Northern Michigan's rich logging heritage by bringing turn-of-the-century skills back to life.

The shows pit two lumberjacks against each other, in fast-paced events like boom running.

This year marks the fifth season for the shows.

The owner says the interactive performances are fun for the whole family.

Alex Jokich and Stephanie Adkins checked it out in Mackinaw City on Wednesday Morning.
