DNR Warns Of Fire Danger

Dry conditions, rising temperatures and potentially strong winds can be a dangerous combination as the region faces continued fire danger.

Gaylord is just one area where the fire danger is listed as 'Very High.'

The DNR is not issuing any burn permits.

Because it's so dry, the DNR says it's about 100-percent guaranteed if a spark or ember gets loose in the woods, it will spread.

Forest Fire Officers with the DNR will be on standby this weekend, just in case.

The DNR will also have planes in the air this weekend watching for smoke.
