Four Injured in Mason County Head on Crash

Four people were hospitalized after a two car crash early Saturday in Mason County.

Undersheriff Tom Trenner says the crash happened shortly after one a.m. on U.S. 31, near Townline road.

He says a southbound vehicle driven by a 30 year old man from Free Soil crossed the center line and struck a northbound vehicle, driven by a 22 year old man from Benzonia.

A woman and a six year old child in the first vehicle along with the driver, were all sent to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids for treatment of serious but not believed to be life threatening injuries.

The Benzonia man is being treated in Ludington.
