CMU Student Dies of Bacterial Meningitis

A mysterious and rapidly destructive disease killed a freshman student.

Nicholas Collins tested positive for bacterial meningitis on Tuesday.

Just two days later, he died from the disease at a Livonia hospital.

Collins had just returned home from his first year at CMU.
