3rd Graders Get Hands-on Lesson on Water Resources

Some local youngsters got some hands-on instruction today in one of our most important resources.

It's the tenth year for the Make-a-Splash Water Festival, put on by the Mecosta-Osceola Intermediate School District at North Riverside Park in Big Rapids.

The event brings together third graders from around the district to get some education about water and its importance.

John McGowan and Photojournalist Jeff Blevins dropped in on the festival today, have  more details on the message they were trying to send these kids.
