TART Trails in Need of Volunteers to Plant Trees Near Wastewater Plant
In an effort to make things a little easier on your nose, some new trees and flowers will soon be popping up in Traverse City.
TART Trails and the City of Traverse City have partnered to plant trees and flowers on Friday near the wastewater plant along Boardman Lake Trail, and they're looking for volunteers to help out.
TART Trails says the wastewater plant gives off a foul smell, and they're hoping some trees, vines, and flowers will absorb some of the odor.
If you would like to contribute by way of planting a tree, call: (231) 941-4300
Volunteers are asked to bring their own tools, planting will take place from 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. this Friday.
