North Stars’ season ends in overtime loss

TRAVERSE CITY – Kalamazoo's Andrew Graves scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Jr. K-Wings eliminated the Traverse City North Stars from the first round of the NAHL playoffs, winning game four of the best-of-five series 3-2.

The loss is the final game in the North Stars franchise's history in Traverse City, as the team is set to move to Sault Ste. Marie for the 2012-13 season.

Traverse City got second period goals from Cadillac native Will Badner and Big Rapids native Seth Adams to take 1-0 and 2-1 leads, respectively.  Kyle Laslo made 29 saves in net for the North Stars.

Kalamazoo advances to face Port Huron in the NAHL North Division Finals.
